- Märklin 60974 – Buffer Capacitor Circuit Board with Built-In Load Circuit (samme som punkt 10?) for mLD3/mSD3. This is a circuit board with 2 buffer capacitors with each 1 Farad for connection to the mLD3 und mSD3, item numbers 60972, 60975, 60976, and 60977. The buffer capacitor prevents light flickering and sound dropout from dirty track sections

- ESU – The new ESU PowerPack units can be wired to all fourth generation ESU decoders. It reliably supplies energy to your locomotive when traversing dirty track or long turnout ladders.

- Modellbahn Union brev 6.4.2023: «StayAlive controller for decoders without an energy storage connection». 1 x StayAlive controller STACO3A (10×7.3x2mm) for decoders without or with limited provisions for direct energy storage connection. 2 miniature gold caps (solder bridge) can be connected via the two free wires via STACO3A. Suitable for N & TT frame models only. Scope of delivery: 1x STACO3A and 2x mini gold caps, 0.3F/2.7V, 4x12mm. See Modellbahn Union (Stay Alive)
- Märklin lok som 55681 kjører både på AC, DC, Märklin digital og DCC – og har kondensator!
- SP16A memory circuit capacitor capacity 470 µF – Little space requirement and particularly low overall height. Thanks to the integrated inductance, it is compatible with asymmetrical braking sections. Reliable voltage limitation. Standard-compliant charging current limitation. Retrofitting option for an additional capacitor. Operation on digital systems without a vehicle decoder is not permitted! The track signal leads to the destruction of the energy storage device! Operation on AC systems with a switchover pulse is not permitted! The switching impulse leads to the destruction of the energy store!
- Modell & Elektronikk 1.22 side 42, bildetekst.
Nettsiden : «Buffer capacitor. yes»
- NMJ «Innebygd kondensator for blinkefritt lys» – EL5.
- 20.7.2025: AI/KI søk på energy storage power capacitors in model railway locomotives, how do they work in relation to the digital protocol also present? Sjekk det sjøl. Men jeg fikk også dette tilslaget:
- DCC Wikip: Energy Storage. Veldig innholdsrik side! Noen sitat:
1. «The capacitor is charged from decoder’s internal DC supply. Capacitors can be fitted if access to the decoder’s power rails is available. During operation it will discharge into the decoder via those power rails.»
2. «Firstly, a large capacitor has a very low resistance when discharged. Placing a locomotive onto a layout with such a capacitor might trigger the command station or booster’s short circuit detection. To prevent this a current limiting resistor is needed to control the inrush current. This however causes its own problem in that it limits how much current the decoder can draw from the capacitor. A diode can be added to overcome this limitation.»
3. «a discharge resistor can be added across the capacitor’s terminals to slowly discharge it when not in use. This effectively resets the decoder so that its speed is zero.» (when placed back on the rail)
4. «There is no NMRA standard for wiring energy storage modules to multifunction decoders, and there are no known standard wiring harnesses or connectors that include the necessary connections.»
5. «DCCconcepts, Lenz, NCE, TCS and Zimo make multifunction decoders that support energy storage.» (det nevnes også i en tabell Iowa Scaled Engineering og Soundtraxx) - «The Märklin mfx digital decoder has a parameterizable power storage unit and is compatible with AC, DC, Märklin Digital, and DCC«, fra https://spur1info.com/en/newsreader/more-about-a-novelty.html (abonnement)
- Train Tech PC1, DCC Point Controller Single (1 Point) inneholder også kondensator. Se https://www.gaugemasterretail.com/train-tech-pc1-dcc-point-controller-single.html. (En annen sak, se på dette artige displayet da: https://www.gaugemasterretail.com/train-tech-sd1-smart-screen-single-pack.html. Skala 1/76, litt stort for H0, men pytt pytt)
- ESU-54674 – På Modellbahn Union sine sider:
«The ESU PowerPack Midi can be connected to all fifth generation ESU decoders (LokSound 5, LokPilot 5, LokPilot 5 Basic) and reliably supplies your locomotive with energy when driving over dirt spots and long switch routes.
With the help of its energy storage (with 6×1 Farad capacity), both the noise and the light and motor functions are buffered, ensuring that your models can continue to drive without power for up to 3 seconds, depending on power consumption.
The PowerPack Midi, which is equipped with a microcontroller for the first time, has an integrated charging circuit and is controlled by the decoder. It can therefore remain in the locomotive during programming. The charging current is also limited to prevent excessive strain on your booster if multiple models are in use. The buffer time can be limited using a CV on the decoder side, so that red signals also lead to an exact signal stop. The output voltage is adjusted fully automatically to the rail voltage by the microcontroller in order to avoid flickering of the lighting when buffering is activated.
The space requirement of the PowerPack Midi of approx. 20.5 mm x 13.5 mm x 14.5 mm must be taken into account when installing. A 3-pin cable connection is required between the decoder and PowerPack Midi.» - ESU-54673 – same but with 6 x 0.22 Farad
